This www.griefandloss.org The American Association of Retired Person's collection of grief recovery resources, information and community based support services for individuals and their families. www.transweb.org All about transplantation and donation. www.unos.org The United Network for Organ Sharing site dedicated to the patients waiting for a transplant and the donor families who have shared the Gift of Life. www.organdonor.gov The U.S. Department of Health and Human Service's site devoted to providing information and resources on organ donation and transplantation issues and to promote organ and tissue donation awareness. www.donorfamily.org The National Kidney Foundation's support and information site for donor family members. www.rainbows.org Offers help in establishing a support group and provides information on existing peer support groups for grieving children and adults. www.widownet.org An information and self-help resource created for, and by, widows and widowers. www.parentswithoutpartners.org A resource for single parents and their children. www.compassionbooks.com Over 400 resources to help children and adults through serious illness, death, loss, grief and bereavement. www.griefresourcescatalog.com A resource center dedicated to providing grief support products for those who may be grieving over the loss of a loved one. www.compassionatefriends.org An organization whose mission is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. www.mcod.org The Michigan Coalition on Donation (MCOD) was formed in 1994 to promote organ and tissue donation. Our goal is to encourage Michigan residents to accept organ and tissue donation as a fundamental human responsibility. We seek to accomplish this primarily through public education, legislative and professional education endeavors. MCOD is modeled after the National Coalition on Donation, which among other things, creates and distributes national advertising campaigns and various awareness efforts such as National Organ and Tissue Donation week. |
